What happens during an ultrasound?
A sonographer will apply a small amount of warm gel to the area being examined and gently move a handheld probe across the skin to capture images. The examination is generally painless, although mild pressure may be required to obtain the best images.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All ultrasound examinations require an appointment. Simply call our clinic or send through your referral via our appointment request form, and our friendly Booking Team will arrange a convenient appointment.
Is ultrasound bulk billed?
Most Medicare-eligible ultrasound examinations are bulk billed. If any fees apply, our team will discuss these with you when booking your appointment.
When will my results be available?
Your images will be reviewed by one of our radiologists, with reports typically provided to your referring practitioner within 24 to 48 hours. Urgent examinations are prioritised where clinically required.
