Preparing for your X-Ray
To help ensure your examination runs smoothly:
- Bring your referral and Medicare, DVA or health fund details
- Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the area being examined
- Remove jewellery, watches or other metal objects where required
- Follow any preparation instructions provided by your doctor or our team

Do I need an appointment?
Many X-Ray examinations are available on a walk-in basis. If you’re unsure whether your examination requires a booking, please contact our team before attending.
What should I expect during the examination?
Your radiographer will explain the procedure and position you appropriately for the area being examined. The imaging itself usually takes only a few minutes, and most appointments are completed quickly.
Is the examination bulk billed?
Most Medicare-eligible X-Ray examinations are bulk billed. If any out-of-pocket costs apply, our team will discuss these with you prior to your appointment.
When will my doctor receive the results?
Your images are reviewed by our radiologists and a report is generally made available to your referring practitioner within 24 to 48 hours.
